Tackling the backwoods requires a strong driveline. The 2026 Recon’s two-motor electric drive modules are mounted at ach axle. It is rated at 670 horsepower and 620 pound-feet of instant torque. That’s more than enough power to get through the roughest terrain. These two motors are fed by a 100-kilowatt-hour, 400-volt battery pack, with a rated range of 240 miles. It can also go at a rated 0-60 MPH time of 3.6 seconds.

Keeping the drive system in line is the exclusive Select-Terrain traction management system. The driver selects the appropriate drive modes to meet the conditions you put the vehicle onto. Drive modes include Auto, Sport, Snow, and Sand. The Moab trim adds a Rock mode for tougher terrain.

The reason you owned a CJ, Wrangler, or Gladiator is the freedom to go anywhere any way you want. The 2026 Recon has been shaped to be as iconic with a removable doors, swing gate glass and rear quarter glass. You do not need a tool kit to remove these parts. It is also a quick change to open up the great outdoors.
