2027 Wrangler Laredo: A Gilded Blast from Jeep’s Past 

Jeep already offers the Wrangler in dozens of flavors, but there’s now yet another way to order the venerable off-road legend for the 2027 model year: the new 2027 Wrangler Laredo, which invokes a name from Jeep’s past and applies a few retro touches both inside and out. Stivers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram tells you what to expect for this exciting heritage-tinged model.  

The Laredo is based on the Wrangler Willys model and is available in both 2-door and 4-door forms. The Wrangler Laredo first appeared as a concept at the 2026 Easter Jeep Safari, and we’re thankful the production Laredo remains faithful to the original show vehicle. 

Let’s start with the exterior: Laredo models gain dramatic gold stripe accents on the hood, fenders, and rockers – allegedly inspired by the Texas town of the same name, but a direct visual link to the CJ and Wrangler Laredos of decades ago. Wrangler Laredo models also gain a unique grille accented with similar gilded accents, along with an exclusive tan soft top and unique bronze elements within the hubs of the standard 17-inch alloy wheels.  

Good looks are best paired with great capability, so it’s exciting to see Jeep has also included the EXTREME 35-inch Tire Package – normally a stand-alone option on Wranglers – as standard equipment on the Wrangler Laredo. The EXTREME 35 package includes:

• 17-inch x 8.0-inch bead lock-capable machine-finished beadlock-capable wheels, wrapped in 35-inch LT315/17 C 113/110S tires 

• 1-inch suspension lift 

• Performance Anti-lock 4-wheel disc brakes 

• Mopar Tire relocation and Hinge-Gate Reinforcement 

• Mopar Jack Spacer 

Laredo’s visual enhancements continue inside, where Premium Bison Brown Nappa leather seats are standard, as are Mayan Gold stitching accents throughout the interior. Move over, Sahara; this may be one of the most distinctive and sophisticated Wrangler interiors created to date. 

Not surprisingly, there are easter eggs such as the plaque on the swing gate that displays the coordinates of Laredo, TX. In honor of that town’s cowboy heritage, there is a cowboy hat motif in the climate control pad prints, as well as a unique “4×4” decal on the rear swing gate that appears to be made from a lasso.
