A Salute to the 2027 Jeep Wrangler Sarge Edition Trim & Features
Few vehicles carry a lineage as deeply rooted in American military history as the Jeep Wrangler, and the upcoming 2027 Jeep Wrangler Sarge Edition leans into that heritage more than any recent trim. Inspired by the 1941 Willys MB that served American forces during World War II, this limited-run special edition is the eighth installment in Jeep’s “Twelve 4 Twelve” campaign.
For enthusiasts who appreciate the Wrangler’s roots as much as its trail chops, the Sarge Edition offers a rare chance to own a piece of that story. We’re excited to help Prattville-area Jeep fans get an early look, and you can contact our team now to be notified when reservations open.
Signature Sarge Edition Design Elements
Jeep built the Sarge Edition around a contrast scheme, and the pairing is fixed rather than freely mixed. Choose ’41 Green paint and you get a Bright White roof and grille surround. Choose any other exterior color and the roof and grille surround come in ’41 Green instead. Jeep has also shown a reversed treatment with white primary paint and green decals, stars, and grille.
A vintage-style 1941 center hood decal and star door graphics reinforce the WWII connection, echoing the markings on Allied vehicles. Bronze tow hooks add a visual accent while keeping full recovery function, and exclusive 17-inch wheels finished in ’41 Green wear standard 33-inch BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrain tires. Steel Rubicon rock rails and body-color fender flares complete the exterior.
Inside, Jeep pairs Cattle Tan Nappa with Drab Green across high-contact areas including the instrument panel surround, door armrests, and center console. Hard-wearing Soul Cloth covers the seating surfaces and mid-instrument panel, and Mayan Gold accent stitching runs across the cabin.
The heritage details are where this package earns its name. You get a 1941 cup holder plaque, a star medallion shift knob, HVAC pad prints featuring the seven-slot grille, and a rear swing gate plaque. These are the small touches that separate a real special edition from a paint job.
What the Sarge Edition Changes, and What It Doesn’t
Worth being direct about this up front: the Sarge Edition is an appearance and interior package. It adds no mechanical upgrades over the Willys or Rubicon trim underneath it.
That means the off-road hardware you get depends entirely on which trim you build it on. Order Sarge on a Rubicon and you get Rubicon capability. Order it on a Willys and you get Willys capability. The Sarge treatment itself is styling, graphics, wheels, and interior. For a $100 premium on the Wrangler, that’s a strong value proposition. It just isn’t a capability upgrade, and you should know that before you configure.
Wrangler Sarge Edition Lineup
Jeep is offering the Sarge Edition across several Wrangler configurations, so buyers can choose the setup that fits their needs while keeping the same military-inspired design.
Wrangler Two-Door Rubicon
The two-door Rubicon Sarge Edition puts the heritage treatment on Jeep’s most capable Wrangler trim. The Rubicon hardware underneath, the electronic lockers and heavy-duty drivetrain, comes from the Rubicon itself rather than from the Sarge package. What Sarge adds is the ’41 Green treatment, the graphics, the wheels, and the mission-ready interior. Pair that with the shorter wheelbase and you have an agile rock crawler wearing the most authentic military look Jeep has offered in years. A strong pick for drivers tackling the tighter trails around the River Region.
Wrangler Four-Door Rubicon
The four-door Rubicon Sarge Edition adds passenger and cargo space without giving up any of the Rubicon’s rock-crawling hardware. It carries the same ’41 Green accents, bronze tow hooks, 17-inch wheels, Steel Rubicon Rock Rails, and body-color fenders as the rest of the lineup.
Jeep has confirmed the Wrangler Sarge starts at MSRP $100 over a comparably equipped Willys or Rubicon. That’s the premium for the full Sarge treatment: the paint, the graphics, the wheels, and the interior. For a limited-run special edition, it is one of the more affordable packages Jeep has released in the Twelve 4 Twelve series.
Wrangler Willys
Sarge is also available on the Willys trim in both two-door and four-door form, wearing the same ’41 Green treatment, vintage graphics, and 33-inch BFGoodrich KO2 tires. The hardtop follows the same contrast rule as the rest of the lineup. Willys gives you a capable Wrangler at a lower entry point than Rubicon, and with Sarge on top, the exterior look is identical either way. If the military aesthetic is what’s pulling you in and you don’t need Rubicon’s lockers, this is the value play.

Gladiator Sarge Edition Lineup
Jeep is extending the Sarge Edition theme to the Gladiator pickup as well, giving buyers who need truck bed utility the same heritage-driven look.
Gladiator Rubicon
The Gladiator Rubicon Sarge Edition brings Jeep’s best-in-class approach and departure angles to an open-air pickup, backed by electronic lockers and a heavy-duty drivetrain. Jeep rates the Gladiator Sarge at an unsurpassed 7,700 pounds of towing and a 1,720-pound maximum payload, with best-in-class approach angle and unsurpassed departure angle. Those figures come from the Gladiator platform, not from the Sarge package, but they’re what makes this the configuration for anyone who needs to actually work the truck.
It wears the same ’41 Green accents, bronze tow hooks, 17-inch wheels, and steel rock rails as its Wrangler sibling. Jeep has confirmed the Gladiator Sarge starts at $500 over a comparably equipped Willys or Rubicon Gladiator, a steeper premium than the Wrangler’s $100 but still modest for a limited edition.
Gladiator Willys
The Gladiator Willys Sarge Edition carries the same ’41 Green treatment, vintage graphics, and 33-inch BFGoodrich KO2 tires into a lower entry point than the Rubicon. The $500 Sarge premium applies here too. It’s a capable open-air pickup wearing the full heritage package, and the exterior reads identically to the Rubicon version.
Availability, Ordering Timeline, and Limited-Run Production
Jeep has stated that orders for the 2027 Wrangler and Gladiator Sarge Editions open later this summer. That’s a narrower window than it sounds, and it’s close.
Sarge is the eighth release in the Twelve 4 Twelve series, Jeep’s yearlong run of limited editions marking the brand’s 85th anniversary. Previous drops in the series have moved quickly. Final specifications and exact ordering dates remain subject to change, so getting on our list ahead of the window is the practical move for anyone serious about securing a build.
